I think I’m shadow banned on Instagram right now, so this is the only place I’m posting poems for a bit.

Seeing The Christophers. I am the youngest person here by far, except the other trans woman, who smiled when she took my ticket.

I have no plans for a poem today. But that doesn’t mean the muse is letting me off.

Fanny pack season is in effect. During the winter I go around with stuff in my hoodie pockets. Can’t do that in the summer. -notebook wallet
-keys
-earbuds
-lipstick.

How I computer

-phone: communicator, music, and reading device. Blocks set up to keep away from social media and streaming video. RSS reader. Drafts for quick notes. Text. Photos to share. Less consumption when out in the world. A tool.

-iPad: consumption. Everything goes. Social media. Video. Reading. Lives at home, on a couch.

-Mac: work. Set up currently to do my unemployment work and data management. Fully desktop mode. 3 screens: comms, plans, and work.

-blackbook: writing and sharing. No browser. Nothing career related. Obsidian for writing. Libreoffice for formatting. Dictionary and Wikipedia for information. A container to share to blog, social media, and regular readers. Live in words. My favorite typewriter.

Four computers feels ridiculous. But it really does simplify things. I know exactly what I’m doing when I’m on specific devices.

Running your engine’s rev up into the red zone won’t do you any good, and becoming strident on an issue may be conterproductive.

I woke up in a panic this morning. Couldn’t go back to sleep. Got up, and wrote a very anti capitalist poem. Just now realized it’s tax day in America, and the psychic wound of paying for missiles and the death of children in a country that won’t pay for art or health care is dripping oily today.

I love living in a city where you can talk about growing up roller skating, going to warehouse parties, UFO sightings, and getting accidentally dosed with edibles. Buddhism and Gnosticism. Professional Wrestling Matches at a bowling lane.
