-phone: communicator, music, and reading device. Blocks set up to keep away from social media and streaming video. RSS reader. Drafts for quick notes. Text. Photos to share. Less consumption when out in the world. A tool.
-iPad: consumption. Everything goes. Social media. Video. Reading. Lives at home, on a couch.
-Mac: work. Set up currently to do my unemployment work and data management. Fully desktop mode. 3 screens: comms, plans, and work.
-blackbook: writing and sharing. No browser. Nothing career related. Obsidian for writing. Libreoffice for formatting. Dictionary and Wikipedia for information. A container to share to blog, social media, and regular readers. Live in words. My favorite typewriter.
Four computers feels ridiculous. But it really does simplify things. I know exactly what I’m doing when I’m on specific devices.
