Current status: 2 weeks from work starting back up, and I’m kind of relieved. Making my own days often means defaulting to nothing. The couch. YouTube. I’ll be learning new skills and systems soon. I’ll be a cog in a system soon. And that time commitment will help clarify my life a bit. Which is good. Restrictions sometimes means more freedom.

Before then: go to the river. Swim in there naked. Watch the boats and stuff. Start reading Thoreau. Keep up the swimming. Shenanigans.

Laundry is folded. More laundry is being washed. It will need to be folded. Pretend sisyphus is happy, etc.

Today the goal was to do a bunch of things. But life is going to be busy enough soon, so I’m going to fold laundry, watch a documentary, and go to a board game night with my spouse.

I was gonna go see the Odyssey today, but the weather was way too hot, and the theaters AC was Struggling way too hard. Time to take off all my clothes and sit In front of a fan.

I’ve had this song in my heart for a million years. And learned today it was a Blondie cover. Of course the version I carried was Blondie. Of course!

My mother was under evacuation orders, and spent the last five days at the Red Cross camp in Eagle point. She is now home in her trailer. Fire season is personal this year. As it should be every year.

Busy day today. Bloodwork and deq and tire rotation and swimming in there somewhere. Woof.

Watching the new Henry David Thoreau documentary. “Gosh, the voice of Hank sounds familiar…is that Jeff Goldblum???” My dear friend…it is.
