The southern Oregon fires are so bad that my mom and my stepdad have already been evacuated due to smoke. They’re doing fine, but keep everyone out there in your thoughts.

Trying out a new RSS reader (tapestry by Iconfactory), which allows me to link my bsky account too. I think I’ll do what I have for months: pull the RSS off my favorite folks, and read them this way, away from the shares and firehouse of suffering.

Feeling insular today. Of course, it’s on the day that I’m going to be really really social. Sigh.

Good morning. Warm today. Keyboarding feels good. Updates and new poems. Small days and nights. The book life. May go downtown to get away for a while. A little adventure in reading and writing. Brain piling up with wonder. Or something pretending to be wonder.

Turned off the voice of the AI that now lives in my phone. Live in text.

Just put watch duty back on my phone to keep an eye on the Evan’s Creek fire in southern Oregon. So I guess we are at that point in the summer.
